Ham pizza recipe

½ cup (125 ml) store-bought pizza sauce

1 tbsp. pesto

1 pizza dough, precooked or fresh (store-bought)

2 green onions

1 cup (250 ml) Paris (white) mushrooms, sliced

3 cups (750 ml) mozzarella, cheddar and Gruyère, grated

1 cup (250 ml) ham, cut into strips or thin slices

Salt and pepper

Mix pizza sauce and pesto in a bowl, and salt and pepper to taste.

Spread sauce mixture on pizza dough, then garnish with ham.

In a bowl, combine grated cheeses. Spread half the mixture on the pizza.

Add mushrooms and green onions, then remainder of the cheese.

Bake on middle oven rack at 450°F for 7 to 10 minutes (or until top is golden brown) if dough is precooked, or for 15 to 20 minutes if dough is fresh.

Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve with a salad.
For a change of pace, feel free to vary the toppings as you see fit. For example, olives, peppers and artichoke hearts will add a sunny touch to your pizza!
